Kevin P. Sherburne

Kevin P. Sherburne joined the FBI as a Special Agent in 1998 and is assigned to the FBI’s San Francisco field office. Mr. Sherburne conducted many complex counterintelligence and espionage investigations and operations prior to becoming a squad supervisor. As a squad supervisor, Mr. Sherburne has managed numerous programs, including counter-proliferation investigations at DOE nuclear laboratories and outreach efforts through the public-private partnership program InfraGard, and he chaired a task force of US intelligence community agencies. Mr. Sherburne serves as a member of the field office’s compliance committee.
Mr. Sherburne holds a B.A. in History from Santa Clara University and received his J.D. from The American University’s Washington College of Law, where he was elected to serve as a law review editor. He served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Tommy E. Miller, United States Magistrate Judge of the Eastern District of Virginia and as intern to the Honorable James L. Buckley, United States Appeals Judge of the DC Circuit. Before joining the FBI, Mr. Sherburne practiced law in Washington, DC with several prominent law firms, including Clifford and Warnke.
