Heidi Mason co-founded and leads the Bell Mason Group (BMG), a Silicon Valley consultancy that helps the Global 1000 to build effective and measurable corporate venturing and innovation (CV&I) programs. For more than 20 years, Ms. Mason has been a pioneer in defining strategies, methodologies and tools that reduce the risk and accelerate the value provided by CV&I initiatives.
Ms. Mason advises leading global corporations on how best to integrate and manage venturing as a strategic vehicle for building innovative new businesses. Sample clients include Merck, British Petroleum AlternativEnergy, Citigroup, DSM and The Coca-Cola Company.
A 25-year veteran of Silicon Valley, Ms. Mason brings a unique perspective and passion for leading initiatives that take cooperation between large companies and the venture community to the next level. She is also a member of the Advisory Board of Global Corporate Venturing, the premier provider of global data and trends analysis for corporate venture investing and innovation M&A.
A serial Silicon Valley entrepreneur, Ms. Mason was co-founder and CEO of technology marketing consultancy Acuity, and also co-led luminary consulting firm Regis McKenna's entry into venture technology marketing services. Early in her career, Ms. Mason was instrumental in establishing the successful publishing arm of Digital Equipment Corporation, where her collaboration with computer pioneer Gordon Bell began.
Ms. Mason is co-author of The Venture Imperative: A New Model for Corporate Innovation (May 2002, Harvard Business School Press).
